Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani and Greece’s Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a phone call on Wednesday to discuss Iraq and the Kurdistan Region’s relations with Greece. The President and the Prime Minister reiterated their willingness to develop partnership, cooperation and bilateral relations.
Prime Minister Mitsotakis conveyed his apologies for postponement of his scheduled visit to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and expressed his readiness to make the trip at a convenient time in the future.
Discussions also covered the latest on COVID-19 pandemic, the developments in Iraq and the wider region and other topics of mutual interest.
