Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani met with Iraq’s President Barham Salih in Baghdad on Wednesday.
At the meeting, President Nechirvan Barzani and President Barham Salih exchanged views on the current political situation in Iraq and underlined the importance of unity in order to overcome the current crises and disagreements in the country.
The two sides also reiterated the need to resolve the pending issues between the government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in accordance with the constitution and law, as well as the importance of protecting the livelihood of families and government employees in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region equally.
The meeting also covered the latest developments in the wider region and the need to strengthen Iraq’s ties with all countries.
