President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani met with United States Ambassador to Iraq, Matthew H. Tueller.
In the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Iraq and the demonstrations taking place in central and southern cities of Iraq. They stressed on the importance of securing stability, cooperation and coordination between all Iraqi parties.
President Barzani expressed his concern with the current security and political situation in Iraq and offered assistance from the Kurdistan Region to help resolve the ongoing issues and achieve stability.
Both sides also discussed the efforts made to improve Erbil-Baghdad relations and to reach an agreement on the general budget and oil issues. The latest developments in the wider region were also discussed.
