President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed Mr. Mazloum Abdi, Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and members of his delegation for discussions on the evolving situation in Syria.

The two sides reviewed the latest military and political developments in the country, with a particular focus on the Kurdish question and the ongoing agreement between the SDF and the Syrian government.

President Nechirvan Barzani reiterated the Kurdistan Region’s commitment to peaceful resolutions and stressed the need for sustained dialogue among all stakeholders. He underscored the importance of protecting the rights of all communities, including the Kurdish people, within the framework of a unified Syria.

Mr. Abdi provided an update on conditions across the region and the status of negotiations with Damascus and international partners.
