President Nechirvan Barzani and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan discuss bilateral relations

During the Munich Security Conference, President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan.

They discussed relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq, as well as the Kurdistan Region, exploring avenues to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors. Both sides highlighted the importance of reinforcing economic and cultural ties and expanding cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting also addressed the establishment of the Azerbaijani Consulate in the Kurdistan Region and included an exchange of views on the political landscape in the region and other matters of mutual concern.
