President Nechirvan Barzani expressed gratitude to the European Union for its unwavering support to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, highlighting that the Kurdistan Region is not part of the conflict and will consistently serve as a pillar of peace and stability.
Ms. von der Leyen affirmed that the stability of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region holds significant importance for the EU, viewing them as vital partners in the region. She also reiterated the EU’s dedication to providing continued support.
