I wish to congratulate Mr. Haibat al-Halbousi on his election as the Speaker of Iraq's Council of Representatives during its sixth session.
His election to this esteemed position, along with the trust placed in him by the members of the House of Representatives, brings significant national responsibilities at a crucial time in the nation’s history.
We are hopeful that his election will enhance the productive efforts of the parliament, uphold the constitution, and foster a spirit of unity, dialogue, and understanding among all Iraqi factions and communities, thereby serving the best interests of the nation and reinforcing stability and unity.
