On the occasion of his election as First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives during its sixth legislative term, I extend my congratulations to Mr. Adnan Fayhan and wish him success in this new responsibility.
The confidence placed in him by the esteemed members of the Council of Representatives entrusts him with an important duty and responsibility, enabling him to play an effective role within the Presidency of the Council in strengthening the legislative and oversight role of parliament.
We hope he will play a constructive role in fostering greater coordination and understanding among parliamentary blocs and political forces, and in contributing to the successful management of the work of the Council of Representatives in federal Iraq.
