President Nechirvan Barzani spoke by phone with French President Emmanuel Macron to offer his strong condemnation of the terrorist attack that struck the joint Peshmerga-French military base in Makhmour last night. The assault claimed the life of a French officer and left several others wounded. French forces have been stationed at the base as part of the international Coalition against ISIS.
President Nechirvan Barzani extended his heartfelt condolences to President Macron, the people and government of France, as well as to the family and friends of the French soldier who lost his life while protecting security and combating terrorism in the Kurdistan Region.
