Continuing his meetings in Germany on the second day of the Munich Security Conference, President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Jordan.
During the meeting, Mr. Safadi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to President Nechirvan Barzani, stressing that his country attaches great importance to its relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting highlighted the political situation in Iraq, noting that the current political process in the country is not moving on the right path, and that all sides should cooperate to correct the course of the political process and to ensure security and political stability.
Both sides underlined mutual readiness to further develop bilateral ties, with the President expressing appreciation for Jordan's longstanding support and relations with the Kurdistan Region, and extending his warm greetings to His Majesty the King.
