President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed Mr. Thomas Seiler, the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, along with his delegation.
The meeting focused on the European Union's relationship with the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing the improvement of collaborative efforts and coordination while sharing perspectives on the political and economic landscape in Iraq and the surrounding region.
President Nechirvan Barzani emphasized the crucial role of the EU in fostering stability and enhancing relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, particularly in areas such as development, human rights, and economic and cultural collaboration.
Ambassador Thomas Seiler reaffirmed the European Union's dedication to supporting Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He also expressed appreciation for the Kurdistan Region's contributions to fostering stability and peaceful coexistence and conveyed the EU's intention to enhance collaboration with the Kurdistan Region.
The circumstances in Syria and the broader region were also discussed during the meeting.
