He also praised the support provided by the Italian military to the Kurdistan Region and Iraq in the fight against terrorism.
In response, President Mattarella expressed his satisfaction with the visit and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and development in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He also acknowledged the Kurdistan Region’s role as a pillar of coexistence among different communities in the region.
The meeting also addressed the recent developments in the Middle East. Both sides emphasized the importance of preserving peace and stability.
