President Nechirvan Barzani met with Iraqi Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi during his visit to Baghdad.
President Nechirvan Barzani congratulated Mr. al-Zaidi on his designation as prime minister and offered his best wishes for success. He also conveyed the willingness and support of the Kurdistan Region for the effective formation of the new cabinet and the success of his administration.
In response, Mr. al-Zaidi expressed his appreciation for the supportive stance of President Nechirvan Barzani, and both sides emphasized the necessity of expediting the formation of an effective national government that will serve as a unifying force for all communities, addressing the challenges and needs of citizens.
They reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration to strengthen political and security stability and to seek comprehensive solutions to the issues facing Iraq, particularly between Erbil and Baghdad, while ensuring that the constitutional rights of all are safeguarded.
Both sides recognized that this current phase demands high-level coordination and collaborative efforts among all political entities and parties to overcome challenges and move toward a more stable and prosperous future for the country.
