President Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Mazloum Abdi, the Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and Mr. Mohammed Ismail, the Chairman of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS), along with an accompanying delegation.
Their discussions focused on the recent developments in Syria, particularly the clashes between the Syrian army and the SDF. Both parties emphasized the necessity of fostering peace and putting an end to military tensions and violence in the current context of Syria.
They also concurred on the significance of dialogue as the sole means to peacefully address the issues and achieve harmonious coexistence among the communities in the new Syria.
Another topic of discussion was the exploration of practical measures to restore stability in regions impacted by war and conflict, as well as an exchange of views on the overall situation in Syria.
The delegation expressed their appreciation for President Nechirvan Barzani’s role and efforts in collaborating with relevant parties to uphold peace and stability and to avert the escalation of tensions.
