President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting Monday with Elbrus Kutrashev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq. During their discussion, they focused on the relationship between Russia, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region. In doing so, they highlighted the importance of enhancing collaboration in various different fields.
The two sides shared their perspectives on the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, the recent Kurdistan parliamentary elections, discussions among political parties regarding the formation of the next Cabinet, and the inaugural session of Parliament scheduled for today.
The meeting, which also saw the participation of the Russian Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, focused on the current circumstances in Syria and their implications for the region.
