President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with Mr. Mohsen Mandalawi, the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, in Baghdad on Sunday. Their discussions primarily focused on the political and security situation in Iraq, as well as the instrumental role of the Presidency of the Iraqi Parliament in resolving the country's issues. Of particular concern were the ongoing issues between Erbil and Baghdad, as well as the upcoming election process for the new speaker of the Iraqi Parliament.
Both parties stressed the interconnectedness of peace and stability in Iraq. They acknowledged that any destabilisation within any part of the country would have a direct impact on the peace and stability of Iraq as a whole. Therefore, it was emphasized that all individuals in Iraq should actively contribute to the preservation of peace and stability.
