Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani issued a message of condolences on the passing of the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad-Saeed al-Hakim and offered his heartfelt sympathies to al-Hakim family, the religious community and the people of Iraq. The President wished them comfort and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
The President referred to the endeavors and struggles of the late Grand Ayatollah against oppression and his efforts to promote brotherhood, mutual respect and tolerance among all communities in Iraq.
