President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Akira Endo, the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq. They discussed the overall situation in Iraq, the relationship between Erbil and Baghdad, and preparations for the upcoming elections.
The meeting, which also included the Japanese Consul in the Kurdistan Region, highlighted the significance of Japan’s relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, stressing the importance of enhancing and broadening cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to joint efforts.
They also recognized the importance of Japanese companies’ presence and engagement in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, highlighting potential investment opportunities for Japan. President Nechirvan Barzani expressed his appreciation for Japan’s support and the contributions of its companies in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
