President Nechirvan Barzani received Joshua Harris, the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Iraq, along with his accompanying delegation.
Their discussions focused on the relationship between the US and Iraq, as well as the Kurdistan Region, addressing the latest developments in the country’s political landscape and internal circumstances within the Kurdistan Region.
Both sides underscored the significance of strengthening US ties with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, agreeing that the United States shares mutual interests and values with both. They also explored potential areas for cooperation.
Another topic of discussion was the relationship between Erbil and Baghdad, the necessity of unity among Kurdish parties in both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and the overall situation in the region.
