President Nechirvan Barzani received the new Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Lee Jun-il.
The President conveyed his congratulations to Ambassador Lee Jun-il and shared his sincere wishes for his success in his new position, reiterating the Kurdistan Region’s dedication to support and aid him in accomplishing his diplomatic mission.
The discussions focused on the relations between the Republic of Korea and Iraq, as well as the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing the contributions and activities of Korean companies operating in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The President acknowledged the enduring relationship and support that the Republic of Korea has provided to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, highlighting the significant role of KOICA in various sectors and areas of assistance to the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting also addressed the successful Iraqi parliamentary elections and the current situation in the Kurdistan Region and the broader region.
