President Nechirvan Barzani this afternoon met with the new French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, Dr. Yann Braem. The President assured Dr. Braem of his full support, as well as the support of Kurdistan Region’s institutions, in accomplishing his mission. Furthermore, the President reiterated the Kurdistan Region's wish to enhance and broaden relations with France.
Mr. Braem, on his part, said that he looks forward with great pleasure to fulfilling his duties as the new Consul General. He emphasized his commitment to fostering friendship and cooperation between France and the Kurdistan Region, with a focus on expanding collaboration in various sectors. Additionally, Dr. Braem emphasized France's commitment to supporting the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, both sides also exchanged perspectives on the latest developments in the region.
