Today marks the somber anniversary of the bombing of Sulaimani University and Qaladze city on April 24, 1974, a tragic act committed by the former Iraqi regime in a misguided effort to suppress the determination of the people of Kurdistan and their quest for freedom.
Today, we honor the sacrifices made by the university's martyrs. This tragic event marks yet another sorrowful chapter in the history of Kurdistan; however, it has not diminished our people's resolve but rather reinforced their commitment to the ongoing fight for freedom.
