President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani during the Munich Security Conference today.
The two parties engaged in a dialogue regarding Bahrain's connections with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing recent developments in the region, and explored avenues to enhance bilateral collaboration in shared interests.
President Barzani emphasized the significance of enhancing collaboration between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Bahrain in both political and economic domains, while also highlighting the Kurdistan Region's contribution to fostering regional stability.
The Bahraini Foreign Minister conveyed his country’s intention to enhance ties with both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, commending Kurdistan’s contribution to ensuring security and stability in the region.
The two parties also shared perspectives on the situation in Syria, along with other matters of mutual concern.
