President Nechirvan Barzani receives Consul General of Iran

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, November 10, 2024

President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Nasrollah Rashnoudi, the departing Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil, during a farewell visit as he concluded his term in office.

The President praised Mr. Rashnoudi’s role in strengthening relations between his country and the Kurdistan Region, and wished him success in his future responsibilities.

From his side, Mr. Rashnoudi expressed his gratitude to the Kurdistan Region's officials for the support and cooperation they had extended him, and to the Consulate General of Iran in Erbil for their work. Both sides emphasized their desire to maintain and strengthen relations between Iran and the Kurdistan Region across all fields.
