President Nechirvan Barzani receives the new Ambassador of Finland

President Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Antti Putkonen, the newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Iraq.

The President congratulated Mr. Putkonen on his new role and conveyed the Kurdistan Region’s support for his diplomatic mission, highlighting the importance of relations between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region and Finland.

Ambassador Putkonen expressed his pleasure at being appointed as his country’s representative to Iraq and emphasized Finland’s commitment and willingness to enhance relations and foster cooperation with both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting also covered the overall situation in the region and other issues of mutual interest.
