President of the Kurdistan Region Receives Special Representative of United Nations Secretary-General to Iraq

In the meeting today, President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani met the Special Representative of UN Secretary General to Iraq Jeanine Plasschaert. Ms Plasschaert spoke about her visit to Shingal, the crisis that hit the area, securing peace in the area and the return of its people.

Meanwhile, President Barzani reaffirmed Kurdistan's determination to alleviate the difficulties the people are suffering from. President Barzani, stressed on the importance of international community's role in rebuilding the devastaed area and securing its peace.
